Michigan State University
Graduate Research Assistant
Previously a high school mathematics and engineering teacher in Columbus City Schools, I am now pursuing a PhD in mathematics education at Michigan State University. Along with my high school teaching experiences, I have taught a variety of undergraduate mathematics courses at The Ohio State University. My research work thus far has primarily focused on the undergraduate preparation and mathematical understandings of prospective elementary teachers, but my research interests extend more broadly to many areas of mathematics education. I am currently part of the Connected Mathematics Project family, and we are working on a project involving the building of collaborative understanding amongst middle school students using digital inscriptional resources.
